Overview
Pipe & Row is a women’s fashion boutique located in Seattle’s Fremont district. The store brings together a curated selection of local shops and international designers, all chosen with an eye toward individuality and personal style. The updated identity balances grit and refinement, play and restraint. Open layouts, mixed with rhythmic photography, and bold typography make up the brand's visual language.
At the core of the brand is a custom typeface, named Fremont Sans, inspired by early 20th-century Gothic letterforms found in woodblock printing. Its subtle imperfections add a touch of personality, offering flexibility across both expressive display use and more restrained, descriptive moments. This typeface carries across the entire brand system. The wordmark being set in Fremont Sans including the names of designers carried in the store. In this way, Pipe & Row lends its voice to each brand it features, creating a quiet but cohesive framework that unifies them under a shared point of view.
